Overview

Doolittle, in partnership with AFRL and AFLCMC, are seeking participation from industry, academia, and small businesses in a Science & Technology (S&T) Industry Day focused on advanced weapon power sources and battery technologies. The event will highlight emerging capabilities, explore solutions that enhance system performance through improved electrical power, and provide opportunities for collaboration with government stakeholders.

Technical Focus Areas

The Government is particularly interested in technologies across the following focus areas:

  • Battery Technologies: High-energy density, high-power density, safe and reliable, extreme environment, long shelf-life
  • Power Systems & Management: Advanced power management systems, alternative power sources, novel power sources and multifunctional structures
  • Testing & Engineering: Test & evaluation, advanced test, evaluation, and digital engineering
  • Standards & Industrial Base: Standardization and Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA), securing the domestic industrial base

Who Should Attend

The Industry Day is open to U.S.-based:

  • Small businesses/ Industry partners
  • Academic institutions
  • UARCs, FFRDCs, and national laboratories

Organizations developing technologies that can be matured to TRL 6 within 3–5 years, or technologies with potential for significant impact within a 5–10-year timeframe, are encouraged to participate.

Industry Day Details

  • Event Dates: 24–26 March 2026
  • Location: Doolittle Institute, Niceville, Florida
  • Security: Hosted up to SECRET level (clearance not required for general participation)
  • Format:
      • Day 1: Open forum and non-proprietary presentations
      • Days 2–3: Government/industry one-on-one sessions and collaboration space for technical exchange and partnership development

  • Intent to present: Due 13 February 2026
  • One-page capability summary: Due 26 February 2026
  • Presenter notifications: By 6 March 2026

Formal submissions must follow the instructions outlined in the RFI.

Organizations interested in presenting or engaging in one-on-one sessions are encouraged to complete the Intent to Engage form NLT 13 Feb. Please note: all presenters are required to attend in person.
