Air Delivered Effects Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) University Day

The Doolittle Institute, on behalf of the U.S. Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) Munitions Directorate Contracting Division, is looking for potential academic collaborators researching or having already completed research on the below topics to present their findings at the Air Delivered Effects Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) University Day on July 26, 2022.
The Doolittle Institute invites you, and/or your colleagues, to submit a proposal on the following topics:
2 – BIOPRINCIPIC SENSORS, INFORMATION PROCESSING, AND CONTROL
6 – EO/IR/LADAR/SAL SYSTEM RESEARCH
These 2 research areas have an emphasis of
electro-optical systems and materials.
1 – WEAPON AIRFRAME SYSTEMS TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH
10 – WARHEAD RESEARCH
11 – FUZE RESEARCH
These 3 research areas have an emphasis in
materials in extreme environments.
A specific area of interest is measuring and modeling condensed-phase,
heterogeneous, reactive, and non-reactive material responses.
The Doolittle Institute invites you, and/or your colleagues, to submit a proposal on the following topics:
7 – NAVIGATION AND ESTIMATION TECHNOLOGY
This research area has an emphasis in
alternative PNT (Position, Navigation, and Timing).
3 – AUTONOMOUS TARGET RECOGNITION
14 – MULTI-FUNCTION, MULTI-MODE RADAR RESEARCH
17 – WEAPONS AUTONOMY TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH
These 3 research areas have an emphasis in
multi-domain sensing.

Only universities are eligible to submit proposals for this CALL. Prior to submitting a proposal, contact Ryan Sherrill, University Day Government Program Manager, to ensure proposals are in line with the above-mentioned research areas and AFRL RW’s goals.

Proposals are due June 13, 2022, by 3:00 PM CST.
Unclassified proposals shall be submitted via DoD SAFE (https://safe.apps.mil). Offerors shall request proposal submission to Stacy Milhous, stacia.milhous@us.af.mil, and Adam Noffke, adam.noffke@us.af.mil, up to 5 days prior to the proposal due date, with the following subject line: “PROPOSAL SUBMISSION for FA8651-22-S-0001 CALL 01-University Day”.
The email shall include:
- Point of contact name
- University (company) name
- Email address
- Phone number
- List of files for submission
The recipient will receive an automated email containing the information and instructions for uploading the file(s). All files must be uploaded and received prior to the due date and time listed above. Early submission is encouraged.
